Melou Out On Second European Tour!!!!

Hello everyone!

To spread the word of our new album we have begun our second European tour. We have many gigs lined up in Holland and surrounding areas. We're all really looking forward to getting out and playing again. For this tour we have brought along a new guitar player, Michael Geiler, who adds his own style and is a great addition to the sound. To find out where we're playing you can check out the Live section of our website or our Myspace, www.myspace.com/meloumusic, which will be updated regularly with upcoming performances.

To go with our new album and tour, we have updated the website with help from our good friend, and great designer Mark Brooks. Along with new pictures, the website now has songs from our new album "Battery Park" which can be found in the Music section. The new songs and pictures are also posted on our myspace: www.myspace.com/meloumusic.

Feel free to check out the new site and tell us what you think on our new Guestbook.

In other news, two tracks from "Battery Park" are featured on various podcasts. One is an Italian Soul Podcast, called "The Funny Show" which features the first track on the album, "Step Right Up". The other Podcast is the very sexy Anji Bee's Chillcast which features the song "Travel On." You can check out either of the podcasts by clicking on one of the links:

As for our first album "Communication", we came across a great review of it from the Dutch magazine "Fret:"

"The name "Melange" wouldn't have been a bad choice either. The band featuring singer Annie Goodchild presents their debut album Communication, a surprising cocktail of soul, jazz, folk, reggae, bossanova, swing and blues. Melou was founded in 2005 in Guatemala. Nowadays, Utrecht is their base, although country borders never seems to stop them. The debut got it's name from Melou's experience "that music is the most ideal way of communication". Goodchild's sultry and at the same time strong vocals occasionally bring to mind Vieira's (of Zuco 103). She shines in the first track and stays illuminated. The other musicians show their talent, especially through the interludes, which could just as easily be mini jam sessions. This is a cocktail that you'll order again and again!"

Melou is vooral in Barcelona hot. "

We want to thank Fret magazine, the incredibly sexy Anji Bee, and The Funny Show for their support and to all of you have been helping us out and keeping the music alive. We hope to see you all sometime during the tour.

Peace & Love
